Underground
Servicing
Watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer installation including deep excavation work in live municipal environments.
Underground servicing forms a major component of the Four Seasons heavy civil capability. The company has installed watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer for regional governments and municipalities across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area since 2003.
Watermain work includes new installation, replacement of aging infrastructure, and parallel relining or upsizing of existing mains. Pipe sizes range from typical service connections through large diameter trunk mains. Pressure testing, swabbing, chlorination, and connection to the live system are performed under standard municipal protocols.
Storm and sanitary sewer construction includes gravity main installation, manhole and catch basin work, and service lateral connections. Deep work involves engineered shoring and confined space procedures. Bypass pumping is arranged where existing flow must be maintained through the construction zone.
Coordination with existing utilities is a defining feature of urban underground work. Locates, daylighting, and continuous coordination with utility owners are managed as a regular part of the construction sequence. Four Seasons has delivered underground servicing within heritage corridors, established residential streets, and active arterial roadways without sustained service disruption to adjacent users.
How Four Seasons Delivers This Work
Dedicated Underground Crews
Sewer and watermain crews operate as a specialized capability within the company. Equipment, supervision, and trade skills are dedicated to underground work rather than shared across other operations.
Work in Live Environments
Most underground work proceeds within active municipal corridors with existing utilities, traffic, and adjacent residential or commercial property. Coordination with utility owners and the road authority is continuous.
Direct Restoration
Backfill, roadway restoration, curb and sidewalk reinstatement, and final surfacing are delivered by the same Four Seasons trades that performed the underground work. Direct accountability from excavation through restoration.
