Project Overview

The PRESTO Fare Card Infrastructure program covered civil works supporting the installation of fare collection equipment across the TTC network. Four Seasons delivered the program for Metrolinx and the TTC between 2015 and 2017 as prime contractor.

The PRESTO Fare Card system extended electronic fare collection to the TTC network through a phased installation program covering multiple sites concurrently. Four Seasons delivered the civil works supporting the equipment installation as prime contractor between 2015 and 2017.

The contract administration framework required continuous coordination with both Metrolinx and the TTC. Field staging was adjusted continuously to accommodate transit operations and public ridership throughout the construction period.

In November 2015 the program scope tripled relative to the originally contracted volume and the schedule was compressed by twenty-five percent. The work was completed within the revised parameters through expanded crew deployment, resource flexibility, and continuous coordination with the client teams.

The contract closed in 2017 within the agreed contract administration framework.

The program required Four Seasons to triple the originally contracted volume of work and complete it in twenty-five percent less time than originally scheduled.
