Heritage Road
Layover Facility
Project Overview
Heritage Road Layover is a major Metrolinx contract supporting GO Transit operations in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Four Seasons is delivering the facility as prime contractor.
The layover facility provides overnight storage and staging capacity for GO Transit train consists supporting the network expansion program. The scope includes track infrastructure, ancillary structures, site servicing, drainage, and surfacing across the layover footprint.
Construction is being executed in an active rail environment with operational interfaces that require continuous coordination with Metrolinx Rail Corridor Control and adjacent freight operators. Work plans, hot work permits, and track access arrangements are managed through the established Metrolinx protocols.
Four Seasons has delivered Metrolinx contracts since 2005, including the PRESTO Fare Card Infrastructure program for the TTC network, the Oshawa GO Station building, and the Barrie Two-Way All Day Infrastructure Improvements program covering the Barrie and Bradford layovers.
The site team includes the Project Manager, dedicated Site Superintendent, Quality Control oversight from a licensed Professional Engineer, and a Health and Safety Manager with the National Construction Safety Officer designation. All field staff working within the rail corridor hold the required Metrolinx safety certifications.
